This fall we are going black bear hunting first in the Southwest and then hunting black in a totally different habitat, the coastal black bears of Alaska. We’ll be glassing black bears and red bears in huge canyon country, as they move and seek different food sources before they den. Here the only time you are close is when you are looking through good optics. But the black bear are big, really big and the shots are long.
Mike Miller and Gene Coon have hunted black bears in these areas for over thirty years, join with them on three great rifle hunts. Learn about the keys to their success, optics, black bear knowledge, persistence and rifles built to shoot straight.
When we get to Alaska it’s spring, here will hunt black bears with master guide Dave Benitz, who has twenty years of experience and a huge number of archery and rifle black bear to show for his work. You will see three great archery hunts each of which produces a Pope and Young black bear. You will also go on four rifle bear hunts, for big boars. Plus many more stalks with the bear close enough to see and easy to judge well. On one of these hunts Mike Whelan and Brent Bunger are with Dave hunting these coastal bears for a little over a week and they see, and you will too, over 60 black bear, more than twenty of these are good boars. The scenery, the bears and all the stalks are stunning from these coastal beaches of Southeast Alaska. Join us for some great bear hunting.
